PHOTOGRAPHY

Rich Paprocki

Photography has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up in Rochester, my dad worked at Kodak and always had a camera in hand. That early curiosity grew into a passion, then a career — one that's taken me from editorial work and live events to where I am now: photographing weddings for couples who want something that actually looks and feels like their day.

When I'm not shooting, you'll find me chasing a summit in the Adirondacks, catching a live show, cheering on the Bills with way too much enthusiasm, or at home with my wife Amy and our cats Willow and Juniper. I like being outside, I love live music, and I think the best days usually involve all three.

The Studio

The studio is located at 190 Monroe Avenue in Rochester's Lower Monroe neighborhood, just down the street from the Museum of Play. It's a great spot to meet, go over your wedding day timeline, or just get a feel for working together before the big day. The neighborhood has some great local breweries nearby if you want to make an evening of it.

A snapshot into my life

Exploring new places has always fed something in me creatively. Having a wife who's a travel agent doesn't hurt either. It means adventure is pretty much built into our life. From national parks to new cities, we're always planning the next one. Getting out of your everyday surroundings has a way of reminding you what's worth paying attention to.

TravelING

Willow and Juniper run the house and we're mostly fine with it. They're curious, opinionated, and somehow always in the middle of whatever we're doing. We've even brought them along on trips, which sounds chaotic but honestly suits them perfectly.

Cats!

There's something about being in the mountains that clears everything out. Long hikes are my reset button. The longer and harder, the better. I'm working my way through the Adirondack 46 High Peaks, and it's become one of those goals that's as much about the journey as the finish line.

Let's Make Something Worth Keeping

You've spent a lot of time thinking about your wedding day. I spend just as much time thinking about how to photograph it. If you're looking for someone who will show up prepared, keep things relaxed, and come home with images that actually feel like you two, I'd love to hear from you.
